Earth Day 2020
What will you do to save the Earth?
Earth Week 2016

Congratulations to Bay Farm School and Ms.Kuttner (who leads the way) on becoming a National Green Ribbon School as well as California's  Green Ribbon School. Our National status was  announced April 22, 2016. (You can see the video  announcement below)

Our Principal Ms. Freitas and Ms.Kuttner, who is our Alameda Green Schools Challenge  coordinator, will travel to Washington, D.C. in July for the award ceremony.

"It makes me very proud to see how an effort to increase recycling and build a garden has become our school culture," Ms. Kuttner said after receiving notification of the award. "Our entire school community works to prove that a school can increase in size and population and reduce the size of its carbon footprint. The hard work of our staff, students and parents will continue, but this is really something to celebrate!”

We have worked a very long time to be worthy of Green Ribbon status. Over the years we have adopted a culture of recycling and conservation. and reduced the waste that is sent to the landfill. As we celebrate Earth Day, join us in activities and projects that help us do even more to save our environment and the earth.
