Grading for interviewer

A: Interview conducted completely in French without resorting to viewing the on-line article. Questions asked in correct French with good pronunciation. Report answers questions effectively, especially as to achievements, i.e. Why was this person important for France? Few or no errors in grammar or diction. Errors do not affect comprehension.

B: Interview mostly conducted in French. Interviewer may have trouble understanding all responses without peeking at written article. Questions asked in mostly correct French, although pronunciation may be imperfect. Report may not address all questions effectively and may not explain satisfactorily the figure’s historic or cultural importance. It may contain numerous errors in grammar or diction, some of which may impede comprehension.

C: Interview conducted largely in English or while reading article with interviewee. Questions in imperfect French that would not be readily comprehensible to a native speaker. Report incomplete and difficult to comprehend. Below-level errors, such as verbs conjugated incorrectly or not at all.

D: Report unacceptably brief, does not answer any of the questions adequately.
