   This is an opportunity for the Level Two (Instructional)  or Level three (Mentor) person who wants to use threaded discussions for communication with peers and for students.
to be able to communicate with others using online discussion boards
  1. review and evaluate other online discussion boards
  2. participate in a moderated discussion
  3. define audience and purpose
  4. develop storyboard along with topics and subtopics
  5. develop an essential question and prompts for discussions
  6. develop either a teacher-to-teacher, teacher-to-students, classroom-to-classroom, or students-to-expert discussion board

Length and Types
  • six to twelve hours hands-on workshop in a small group with others at the same level with follow-up online in the discussion board
An Organized Technoogy Classroom or equivalent 

This eCoach opportunity can be bundled with other opportunities in an institute or staff development program with a focus on a particular curriculum area, grade-level, or project.  This opportunity can be divided into two separate workshops: student websites and electronic portfolios. Our coaches can prepare your coaches to provide any of these services onsite for a separate fee. Our coaches will include relevant eCoach guides as part of any opportunity or purchase guides separately.
