Create a WebQuest or Interactive Website

This is an opportunity for the Level One (Knowledge) or Level Two (Instructional) person who wants to create a website where students access, use, and discuss strategies in the site as part of the curriculum. Review and evaluate other WebQuests and interactive sites for effectiveness and validity of content. Identify a curriculum area to develop as an interactive site. Plan and storyboard ideas, questions, and resources that relate to topic. Team with another for brainstorming effectiveness of storyboard. Develop site and share with others in workshop for feedback. Implement and share process and results with others in online discussion board.

Purpose to be able to create a WebQuest or interactive website to use with students
Objectives evaluate examples of other WebQuests apply basic instructional design principles identify audience and purpose of WebQuest select appropriate resources for research and problem-solving develop a unit that involves compiling, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing of information around a curriculum topic that is aligned to content standards practice methods for teaching unit share results with others in follow-up	NCATE Standards 2.4.2, 2.4.3, 2.4.5, 2.4.9, 3.1.4 ISTE Standards and Performance Indicators: I.B, III.A, C and D, IV.B,C and D, V.A , VI.A
Length and Types six to twelve hours hands-on workshop in a small group with others at the same level plus one or more hours follow-up online or three to four hours coaching session with team of two or three plus follow-up online	Prerequisite Create and Design a Website or equivalent

This eCoach opportunity can be bundled with other opportunities in an institute or staff development program with a focus on a particular curriculum area, grade-level, or project. Our coaches can prepare your coaches to provide this service onsite for a separate fee. Our coaches will include relevant eCoach guides as part of any opportunity or purchase guides separately.
