Student Collaborative Multimedia Projects

   This is an opportunity for the Level Two (Instructional) or Level Three (Mentor) person who wants to develop a classroom-to-classroom project that is focused on a curriculum area that is aligned to the content standards. Teachers will work together to design a multimedia unit where students have to collaborate in-person and online as a team in developing their project.
to be able to create a curriculum unit that includes multimedia
  1. identify curriculum where students can team with another class
  2. identify components for collaborative projects
  3. build bodies of knowledge around specific topics
  4. develop areas of expertise and provide support to others online
  5. develop instructional unit where students gather and share information online and create a collaborative unit
  6. develop assessment strategies
  7. share results online

1.3.3, 2.4.4, 2.4.6, 2.4.9, 2.4.10

ISTE Standards and Performance Indicators:
 I.B, II.B, C, Dand E,III. A , C and D, IV.C, V.B and D, VI.A and E

Length and Types
  • six or more hours hands-on workshop in a small group with others at the same level with one or more hours follow-up discussion online or
  • three to four hours coaching session with team of two or three plus online discussion
Create a Curriculum Multimedia Unit, Information Literacy Skills and Classroom Management Strategies or equivalent 

This eCoach opportunity can be bundled with other opportunities in an institute or staff development program with a focus on a particular curriculum area, grade-level, or project.  Our coaches can prepare your coaches to provide this service onsite for a separate fee. Our coaches will include relevant eCoach guides as part of any opportunity or purchase guides separately.
