Develop a Student Newsletter Project

This is an opportunity for the Level Two (Instructional Level) person who wants to design a project where students create a newsletter as part of the curriculum. Use draw tools and peripherals to create and modify original artwork. Model the process of sharing ideas and files online. Come as a team to develop a project around a curriculum area that is aligned to content standards. Collaborate online with others to share successes and process.

Purpose to be able to create a project that includes student newsletters
Objectives design strategies for teaching skills to create newsletter set up teams of students with stations for collaborative work and timeline for project create original art work using computer art program have students work with images and text between different programs and save in different formats develop objectives, template, and lesson for student newletter develop and implement project that is aligned to content standards have students create a rubric to assess content, design, and team work	NCATE Standards: 2.4.4, 2.4.9, 3.1.4, 3.1.8 ISTE Standards and Performance Indicators: I. B., II. A., D. and E., III. A., and D. IV. A., V. C.and D., VI. A.
Types of Opportunities: six to nine hour workshop with follow-up online discussion or three hour coaching sessions with team of two to three including follow-up	Prerequisite Create a Newsletter or Brochureor its equivalent

This eCoach opportunity can be part of an institute with a focus on a particular curriculum area, grade level, or project or as a coaching session as part of your staff development program. We can prepare your coaches so they can provide this service onsite for a separate fee. Our coaches will include relevant eCoach guides as part of any opportunity or purchase guides separately.
