Technology and the Writing Process

This is an opportunity for the Level Two (Instructional Level) person who wants to incorporate technology as part of the writing process. Work with others at the same level as you design a writing activity for your students using the word processor and many of its features. Use this opportunity to brainstorm with others how you would set up a writing activity around a curriculum area, involves the complete writing process, and includes effective classroom management strategies. Align activity with the Language Arts content standards.

Purpose to be able to use technology with students to write in all areas of the curriculum
Objectives use word processor or separate keyboard for drafting purposes and peer-editing export text to word processor use outlining feature design format for final draft including inserting a graphic with wrapped text design, deliver, and assess learning activities and classroom management strategies that involve the writing process	NCATE Standards: 1.2.1, 1.3.3, 2.4.9, 3.1.8 ISTE Standards and Performance Indicators I. A., II. D. and E., III. A. and D., IV. A .
Length and Types five to six hour hands-on workshop in a small group with others at the same level or three hour coaching session (team of two)	Prerequisites Make Your Own Formsor its equivalent

Our coaches can prepare your coaches to provide this service onsite for a separate fee. Specific eCoach opportunities can be grouped together in an institute with a focus on a specific curriculum area. Our coaches will include relevant eCoach guides as part of any opportunity or purchase guides separetly.
