Communication Arts
    •What do I want to be when I grow up?
Sixth Grade There are several career opportunities available to you. How do education, skills and salary factor into your choice of careers?
    •To Smoke or Not to Smoke?
Fifth Grade Thousands die each year from smoking related illness! In this project you will investigate how smoking effects lives and write an essay to persuade your audience either not to start smoking or to quit.
    •Christmas Break
Fourth Grade How do you celebrate Christmas? How does the rest of the world celebrate Christmas? Lets travel the world and discover what is going on around the world at Christmas.
    •Show Me the Allowance!
Fourth Grade Everyone wants more money. In this activity, you will develop a plan to persuade your parents to give you more allowance.
    •Exercise for Power
Third Grade Do you need an excuse to run around? This is it! Just think about what would happen to your reading ability if you spent 10 minutes a day running or doing an exercise routine.
    •Ancient Fun
Third Grade: They called it “cuento (kwain-to).” That’s Spanish for story. Cuentos have been around for centuries. Imagine sitting in a cozy “casa” listening to the story of the tricky spider, Anansi. How many stories could there be? Well, how many different games are there for an X-box?
Science
    •Can U C A CSI in U?
Fifth and Sixth Grade: You are needed as an expert crime scene investigator. Your job is to analyze the evidence, answer a few questions about motion and friction see if you qualify to become a CSI.
Social Studies
    •Are You Serious or is This a Joke?
Sixth Grade and up: Throughout history people have used political cartoons to express the opinion of the times. What is happening today? War? Peace? Elections? Education? What are the opinions of the people? Can you display fact mixed with opinion in a political cartoon?
