Developing Presentations

Instructional Time: 45 minutes a day for 4 days

Process:
Using the Scoring Presentation of Settlement Site rubric, the teacher will:
Go over effective presentation techniques with your students that include: use of voice, body language, eye contact, etc.
Decide on time limit for presentation. 3 minutes is a suggestion.
Give students opportunities to practice their presentations before they present to their target audience.
Try to use an LCD projector rather than a TV hooked to a TV monitor to present their maps.
Give your students a time frame for completing this phase.
Students do the presentations, 4 each session.
