High School of the Cayman Islands through its Technology Integration
Project; a one-year pilot to assess the most effective way to encourage
staff to develop technology-rich lesson plans.

My eCoach Online Chosen for International Project Between The United
States, Australia, and New Zealand Schools
Philadelphia, PA - June 27, 2005 - My eCoach, the
coaching and mentoring experts, announced today that its web-based
product My eCoach Online will be the primary online telecommunication
resource between students and teachers in the implementation of
an International Society for Technology in Education Affiliate classroom
environmental project with Queensland, Australia’s Aboriginal
students, New Zealand Maori students, and Northwest Washington State
American Indian students from the Lummi Nation.
What is unique about this collaborative project is that it involves
indigenous students from remote locations who will share their digital
stories. My eCoach will work closely with a core group of teachers
representing five classrooms from each location to design the structure
of the program. New communication, coaching, and curriculum tools
in My eCoach Online will allow students to share images and stories
about their history and their culture with the other students. Students
will use blogs, real-time chat, and other web-based publishing tools
in My eCoach Online’s safe environment.
"My eCoach provides the appropriate resources for indigenous
students in Washington, New Zealand, and Australia to share their
stories and reflections. Teachers will not have to worry about safety
on the Internet as their students participate in online discussions
and publish their digital stories in My eCoach Online," wrote
James Smith, Supervisor of EETT Programs, Washington state department.
Barbara Bray, Founder and CEO of My eCoach added, "We are very
excited about adding an international program to our existing Washington
state project, NO LIMIT (New Outcomes: Learning in Mathematics Integrating
Technology). In this new international project, the students from
the Lummi Nation will use My eCoach Online to communicate and share
images and stories with the indigenous students in Australia and
New Zealand. This is an amazing opportunity to show how My eCoach
and student voices can harness the power of the Internet."

My eCoach Launches New Standards System in My eCoach Online
Philadelphia, PA - June 27, 2005 - My eCoach, the
coaching and mentoring experts, introduced today at the National
Educational Computing Conference (Booth #73) a powerful new standards
system to its innovative suite of communication, collaboration,
coaching, and curriculum tools for teachers and mentors. Key features
that improve the existing standards system include easier user-interface
and better navigation for alignment to lessons, resources and projects.
The system also includes a new standards viewer that allows users
to review standards before they develop a project and to find projects
and resources aligned to a specific standard.
The power of the new My eCoach standards system is that users will
be able to quickly find the appropriate standards without clicking
multiple times and opening numerous windows. Users can select one
standard and click to align to the project they are working on and
then look for another standard without leaving that page. A cookie
crumb is left at the top of the page that allows users to easily
back track and get to another standards area.
My eCoach also provides a customized standards service to clients,
by working with clients individually to import their standards into
the My eCoach database and ensure that their specific needs are
fulfilled. Barbara Bray, Founder and CEO of My eCoach said, "Our
customers expressed frustration with other standards tools because
many systems do not update their state standards with grade level
expectations nor do they include local content, professional, and
technology standards. Therefore, teachers were not able to align
lessons to the appropriate standards. As part of our customized
service, we can add or update any standard quickly and easily.”

Learning Community for Students and Teachers in Washington
Oakland, CA - June 20, 2005 - My eCoach, the coaching
and mentoring experts, is pleased to announce a new collaboration
with the Washington State Title II Part D, NCLB/EETT (Enhancing
Education Through Technology) project, “NO LIMIT!” (New
Outcomes: Learning in Mathematics Integrating Technology). My eCoach’s

will be used by the Math Integration Specialists who function as
Coach-Mentors to over 250 NO LIMIT Math classrooms, operating from
nine statewide Educational Service Districts, the Network Learning
Community Satellite in Bellingham, WA and the Learning Disabled
Program of EETT operated from the Central Washington State University
in Ellensburg, WA.
James L. Smith, Washington State EETT Program Supervisor said, “We

My eCoach and Generation YES® To Develop New Technology Integration
Professional Development Model for EETT Programs
Oakland, CA - June 10, 2005 - My eCoach (www.my-ecoach.com),
the coaching and mentoring experts, is working in collaboration
with Generation YES (www.genyes.com) to develop a comprehensive
new technology integration professional development model for three
math-related EETT programs in Washington state. This new model will
combine My eCoach’s online collaborative support for teachers
through it’s web-based coaching and mentoring environment,
My eCoach Online, with the exemplary Generation YES model of students
providing technology integration support.
“Combining the power of students with online teacher support
means that these teachers will receive unprecedented support for
their technology integration efforts,” says Dr. Dennis Harper,
CEO of Generation YES and founder of the GenYES™ model. “Technology
integration in schools often stops at the classroom door because
teachers don’t have time or support when and where they need
it. The combination of Generation YES and My eCoach solves these
problems.”
Through the program, teachers receive a technology suite of resources
including a laptop, projector, and document camera and can voluntarily
choose two students from their class to be “Student eCoaches.”
Student eCoaches will be trained by Generation YES and building
staff to provide technical support for the technology suite, as
well as to facilitate and support the integration of technology
into math instruction through My eCoach Online. My eCoach Online
will provide the online learning community with the communication,
collaboration, coaching, and curriculum tools for teachers to work
together and for students to provide input as part of the feedback
loop.
"We are excited about partnering with Generation YES to create
a new Student eCoach program. With students as part of the learning
community, teachers will have the support they need in the classroom
as they implement and evaluate their math lessons. Student eCoaches
will be able to provide feedback on the lessons taught which will
ultimately help improve teaching practice," commented Barbara
Bray, CEO of My eCoach.
About Generation YES
Generation YES (www.genyes.com)
works with schools all around the world to plan, implement and enhance
student technology programs through innovative curriculum, online
tools and research-based support services.

Washington State and Virgin Islands Students Use My eCoach®
Online for Collaborative Inquiry Projects
Seattle, WA-March 16, 2005—Together with the
Wesleyan Academy and Moravian School in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands
and Evergreen Elementary in Fort Lewis, Washington, My eCoach (www.my-ecoach.com),
the coaching and mentoring experts, announced a collaborative research
project using My eCoach Online as the primary medium for students
in both locations to share information, post ideas and findings,
and develop inquiry projects on ten topics about water.
The coordinators of the project, Vicki Albrecht and Meredith Blache,
received virtual coaching from My eCoach president, Barbara Bray
and Washington-based eCoach, David Tucker, to plan and develop the
goals and design of the projects. Albrecht and Blache coached the
lead teachers in the Virgin Islands, Julie Cruz and Angele Warner,
and in Washington, Kenton Morrison. "Barbara Bray was a great
support in helping us figure out how our long-distance projects
would unfold. I am not sure we could have completed a project like
this without the use of My eCoach Online and the resources and workspace
that it provides," Meredith Blache commented.
The lead teachers guide ten teams of 2-3 students each from their
schools as they conduct research and engage in hands-on investigations
on different topics about water. Using the collaboration and communication
tools in My eCoach Online, students on one team in the Virgin Islands
are able to exchange information and discuss their research findings
with a Washington team in a safe and secure environment.
Each team from the Virgin Islands and another in
Washington will collaborate to create an inquiry project using My
eCoach Online’s curriculum builders. Examples of some of the
topics they chose as projects include: natural disasters and the
affects on water; animals in our watershed; how our bodies of water
are different; season and the affect on water; pollution and the
affects on sea life.

eMINTS Partners with My eCoach® in Developing
Pilot Coaching Program
Oakland, CA- October 18, 2004 –In partnering
with My eCoach, the eMINTS (Enhancing Missouri’s Instructional
Networked Teaching Strategies) National Center, a collaborative
education program sponsored by the Missouri Department of Elementary
and Secondary Education and the University of Missouri System Office
of Academic Affairs, will build a program that sustains the current
eMINTS 2-year professional development program so that eMINTS teachers
will have opportunities to participate in a full ongoing support
system.
My eCoach will support eMINTS Area Instructional Specialists (AIS),
and Cluster Instructional Specialists (CIS) as they use My eCoach
Online curriculum builders and communication tools to develop eMINTS
instructional modules as online tracks. Two CIS will then be selected
as eCoaches to coach veteran eMINTS teachers using My eCoach Online’s
environment as they receive on-going support in the form of resources,
tools, and feedback from My eCoach staff. This will allow for the
extension of eMINTS professional development and collaboration among
eMINTS veteran teachers and their coaches well beyond the intensive
two-year program that eMINTS provides.
President and CEO of My eCoach, Barbara Bray said, “We are
excited to be working with eMINTS. Their goal in supporting educators
to use innovative teaching practices that improve student performance
and enrich instructional effectiveness fits with our core beliefs
about teaching and professional development. We are delighted that
as members of My eCoach Online, eMINTS eCoaches and teachers will
contribute to our growing community of forward-thinking educators.”

Educational Service Center Region XV in
Texas uses My eCoach Online with Mentors from Thirty-One School
Districts
Oakland, CA-November 10, 2003-Under the Technology
Applications Readiness Grant for Empowering Texas (TARGET2 Grant),
a No Child Left Behind funded program, Region XV in Texas will begin
using My eCoach Online today to support their mentoring program.
The TARGET2 program includes sixty-two participants from thirty-one
districts in Texas.
The first goal of the TARGET2 grant is to provide coaching strategies
that allow participants to work closely with other adult learners
(the campus cadre composed of an 8th grade Social Studies teacher,
a content teacher comfortable with technology, and a partner district)
in the assessment process of reflective practice and peer review.
Through the support of the peer review, participants will use My
eCoach Online to design and facilitate highly challenging learning
experiences while developing model lessons that integrate technology
resources that support students learning through problem-based learning.
“The My eCoach Online system allows for a
platform for necessary follow-up support in order to maintain and
“stretch” the campus cadre in the development of teacher
lessons and student products that focus on higher order thinking
skills, analysis, synthesis, and evaluative conclusions as prescribed
by state academic standards,” said Donna Pohl, Coordinator
of Technology for Region XV.
“The TARGET2 program goals align perfectly
with what we intended My eCoach Online to be used for,” said
Barbara Bray, CEO and President of My eCoach and Computer Strategies,
LLC. “Research indicates that coaching and mentoring programs
designed like TARGET2 will result in high returns. We are excited
to work with Texas teachers in helping them achieve their objectives.”
